Talia Akiva

Talia graduated from The University of Pittsburgh with a bachelors in Social Work and continued at Pitt to receive her Masters of Social Work with a concentration in Direct Practice and certificate in Mental Health. She completed her MSW internship at Falk School in their Middle School Counseling office where she provided counseling services to students, delivered social-emotional lessons to classes and small groups, and more! She also served as the Director of Kesem. Kesem is a student-run, non-profit organization that provides year-round support for children whose parents have been impacted by cancer. The main event is a week-long summer camp! Talia is passionate about teen Mental Health and is super excited to join the Friendship Circle and Beacon team.
