Making Sukkot Our Own at Fallfest

September 29, 2026

FC teens and staff got creative together with Sukkot crafts at Community Day School’s Fallfest!

There wasn’t one way to celebrate Sukkot at Community Day School’s Fallfest, and that was part of the fun.

Friendship Circle joined the larger CDS community this year with a space where kids and families could stop by, hang out and get creative. Some made friendship bracelets, others worked with clay or added to paper chains, and plenty stayed awhile to talk with friends.

Our teens helped make the space their own, too. Baila greeted families with an “FC this way” sign, while other teens helped with activities and welcomed everyone who stopped by. We also had fidgets and headphones available for anyone who needed them throughout the evening.

And of course, there was a little magic. FC friend Alia joined Weird Eric for a magic show, taking her place right alongside him for the performance.

Inside, Bunny Bakes kept the creativity going with cookie decorating. Kids could choose their colors and decorate however they wanted, and parents shared how much they loved having an activity where their kids could simply have fun and make something their own.

Some of our favorite moments were the ones that weren’t planned. Friends found each other, members hung around the FC table and new connections happened naturally throughout the night.

That’s what made celebrating Sukkot at Fallfest so special. We got to be part of something bigger while still bringing the friendship, creativity and sense of belonging that make FC feel like FC.
