Honoring 10.27 Through Acts of Kindness and Service

October 26, 2026

Our members put together sensory kits and added handwritten notes to share a little kindness with each person who receives one.

On Sunday, October 25, Friendship Circle joined communities across Pittsburgh for the 10.27 Healing Partnership's annual Day of Service, honoring the 11 lives lost in the 2018 Tree of Life synagogue shooting.

Our members, families and volunteers came together to turn remembrance into action through acts of kindness and service.

Throughout the day, participants decorated coffee sleeves with messages of kindness, assembled sensory and friendship activity kits and helped prepare signs for the upcoming Walk4Friendship. Each station offered an opportunity to connect, give back, and reflect on the importance of supporting one another.

We were grateful to be part of a day that brought our community together in remembrance, reflection, and kindness.

WPXI-TV highlighted the Day of Service and the many ways Pittsburghers came together to honor the lives lost.
