Lt. Governor Austin’s Visit

We were so honored to welcome Lt. Governor Austin Davis to The Friendship Circle’s three locations on Wednesday. At The Beacon, he spoke with teens about supporting early interventions for young people’s mental health. He visited Bunny Bakes to meet our Bakery Trainees, who described their essential roles in production and customer service. Back at FC, he reflected about the power of youth in our community and took questions from participants. Special thanks to our partner JHF and the Teen Mental Health Collaborative!

Art Club

The first Art Club of the year started off with tons of sensory art and cool foam printing, we were so excited to get to make art with everyone again! Mina especially loved making heart stamps with red paint and foam, while Micah and Lilly really enjoyed the paper marbling with shaving cream. We also created vision boards to help showcase our favorite things and some dreams, and it was a messy but fun day of arts and crafts!

FOTT Kickoff

The FOTT Kickoff was a huge success! With entertainment from BandTogether, Mike the Balloon Guy, and the Kona Ice truck, the energy was electric. Amanda Diaz delivered an inspiring speech about the exciting year ahead, setting the perfect tone for the evening. It was a night full of dancing, delicious food, and endless fun!

G-d tells Abraham of his plans to destroy Sodom and Abraham challenges Him. Why must the entire city be destroyed? Aren’t there some folks there worthy of redemption, a few righteous folks in whose… Read More

TwitterFacebookLinkedinPrintemailA WEEKLY TORAH THOUGHT FROM RABBI MORDY This was an eventful week. For many it was devastating; for others, it was cause for celebration. It seems we at least can be sure that our country is as divided as ever. I’m not going to speak directly to the election itself, but to a lesson I hope we all can take… Read More
