Teen Challah Bake

Teens from The Friendship Circle, The Beacon, The Second Floor at the JCC, BBYO, and NCSY gathered last Thursday night for our annual Teen Challah Bake event! Teens enjoyed playing get-to-know-you bingo and getting their hands dirty making the dough. Don’t worry – we wore aprons! Everyone made two challot with their favorite toppings and enjoyed spending time with new and old friends! Two of our TLB presidents, Ben and Chavi, showed the group how to braid their challah, and we had a teen from each organization share a little bit about their organizations and involvement. Everyone left with smiles on their faces and challot to bake at home!!

FOTT Karaoke Night

Our first FOTT Karaoke Late Night was an incredible success! Everyone did an amazing job performing and cheering each other on, creating such a fun and supportive atmosphere. CeCe R was a spectacular co-host, keeping the energy high and expertly calling everyone up to the stage. Some fan-favorite songs included hits from Wicked and Taylor Swift, which had the crowd singing along. We’re already looking forward to our next Late Night at the Arcade Comedy Theater on Sunday, December 22nd—can’t wait for more laughter and unforgettable performances!

YAN Happy Hour at Bunny Bakes!

The Young Adult Network hosted a Holiday Happy Hour with Friendship Circle’s Alumni Council on Tuesday, December 17th at Bunny Bakes. It was a heartwarming kickoff to the holiday season. Alumni reconnected with old friends while new friendships blossomed over delicious winter coffee drinks made by our talented Bunny Bakes baristas. We even took a trip down memory lane, flipping through old photo albums and sharing stories from the past.

A huge thank you to our Alumni Council for planning this event and to Alumni Council President, Clayton Hirsh, and Vice President, Josh Platto, for their warm welcome as we got ready to celebrate the season together. Here’s to the start of an unforgettable year, filled with reconnecting, memories, and new beginnings!

I’ve Got Nothing

TwitterFacebookLinkedinPrintemailA WEEKLY TORAH THOUGHT FROM RABBI MORDY So, this week I’m in a bit of a conundrum. There is lots going on from a Jewish perspective (we conclude the Book of Exodus, we are almost exactly between Purim and Pesach) but the Parsha – Pekudei – is pretty repetitious. Moses is commanded by G-d to build the Tabernacle a few… Read More

It was the perfect way to end the week, surrounded by friendship, laughter, and incredible food. We can’t wait for the… Read More

How it Started Vs. How it’s Going

TwitterFacebookLinkedinPrintemailA WEEKLY TORAH THOUGHT FROM RABBI MORDY This week’s Parsha (Vayakhel) tells of the artisans, the expert craftsmen who produced the Mishkan, the Tabernacle where the Jewish people served G-d in the desert. What is most interesting to note is how little this differs from the previous portions where G-d commands it to Moses and Moses conveys to the Jewish… Read More
