FC Talks

We had a very successful FC Talks event as hundreds gathered to watch Pamela Schuller at the JCC Monday night. Schuller, a comedian, disability and mental health advocate, and Jewish woman, spoke about her experience growing up with Tourette Syndrome and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and interspersed funny stories with serious anecdotes and ideas for change. Teens asked questions during the Q&A session and attended a VIP reception after the event. All attendees left with actionable ways to make their communities more inclusive. Thanks to Pamela, the Alumni Council, staff, and participants for making it an inspiring night!

Teen Trip

On Sunday, teens gathered at Cool Springs to play some golf. With three TopTracer bays, the teens had lots of room to practice their golfing skills. Then, we tried out the sports simulator, which included Zombie Dodgeball, soccer, and basketball. Teens also played trivia, cards, lacrosse, and hockey. There was truly something for everyone!

South Hills Cooking Club

The last South Hills Cooking Club was a huge success! Members loved making their own ice cream in a bag, forming their matzo balls and sipping on some Parting of the Sea Punch. Can’t wait to make more recipes next year!

Aren’t there some folks there worthy of redemption, a few righteous folks in whose… Read More

TwitterFacebookLinkedinPrintemailA WEEKLY TORAH THOUGHT FROM RABBI MORDY This was an eventful week. For many it was devastating; for others, it was cause for celebration. It seems we at least can be sure that our country is as divided as ever. I’m not going to speak directly to the election itself, but to a lesson I hope we all can take… Read More
